Note: If you are backing up a large amount of data, see ' Guidelines before You back up a large amount of data' before you continue. Note that you see one extra device, called admin, whenever you log in as admin.
Step 6: After connecting successfully, you can see a list of connected devices. Step 5: In the pop-up window, select Registered User, and enter admin as the username and password as the password. On a PC: Start > Run > type: \\readyshare.On a Mac: Go > Connect to Server >type : smb: //readyshare.To access the connected USB hard drive from your Mac or PC: Step 4: Unplug the USB hard drive from your Mac and connect it to the router. Use a blank partition to prevent some issues during backup using Time Machine. Note-2: We suggest using a new USB HDD or formatting your old USB disk to do the Time Machine backup for the first time. Step 3: Open the Disk Utility and format your drive, as shown here. Step 2: On your Mac, go to Spotlight (or the magnifying glass) located at the top right of the screen and search for Disk Utility.
